In a recent workshop titled “How to Elevate Your Email Strategy with Insider and InstantPrint,” Jon Dixon, Digital Growth Consultant at Insider and Dan Robinson, Head of eCommerce & Marketing at InstantPrint, shared valuable insights on advanced email marketing techniques.

Introducing Insider

Insider is is a cross-channel personalization platform that leverages AI to predict future behavior and automate customer journeys across various channels, including email. Its mission is to deliver the right message at the right time to the right person on the right channel, ultimately impacting customer lifetime value.

With features like omnichannel personalization, a customer data platform (CDP), and advanced analytics, Insider helps organizations optimize their marketing efforts and achieve higher ROI.

InstantPrint’s Unique Approach

Dan Robinson provided an overview of InstantPrint, the second-largest printer in the UK, focusing on their curated range of products, which allows for high efficiency and quality.

Email Strategy Enhancements

Dan Robinson highlighted two main goals of using Insider: rapid migration to a new ESP and the implementation of automation. 

“We’ve been tangled up in our previous provider, Salesforce. And we’ve been having a few issues there. So, yeah, it sounds pretty basic getting automations up and running, but for us, that was really significant.”

Within 60 days of working with Insider, InstantPrint achieved high deliverability rates, and within 90 days, they had their first automation live. This transition from their previous provider, Salesforce, was significant for their operations, including enabling them to easily launch: 

  1. Flyers Price Drop Campaign: InstantPrint segmented 700,000 subscribers down to 180,000, achieving a 50% uplift in open rates and skyrocketing click-through rates.
  2. Valentine’s Day Campaign: Similar segmentation resulted in industry-leading open rates and click-through rates.

The Architect Module

Insider’s Architect module combines email with other channels to create  seamless customer experiences. InstantPrint uses this to navigate customers through different touchpoints efficiently.

Futur Plans

Robinson emphasized the importance of personalized and segmented emails. He mentioned plans to leverage mobile channels like SMS and WhatsApp for transactions, aiming to enhance customer interactions further.

The platform’s ability to automate these processes ensured that each user received the right message at the right time, significantly improving engagement rates and helping Generation to build stronger connections with its audience.
